Quite a pleasant winter day dry and not unduly cold here in the Gem of
the Peak. The second day of our diesel weekend proved entirely
satisfactory with a steady stream of visitors and passengers including
some from our respected colleagues at East Midlands Trains. Many thanks
to all concerned for a smooth running event.
Down the yard, work continued ceaselessly on the CK corridor floor; on
the BSK interior woodwork and ceilings; on the class 31; and on the
class 119, both in terms of parcels cage painting and in terms of work
on the cab desk and its associated electrics.
In the shed, the up side work decking is now safe and secure to use and
will be a great improvement for dealing with the sides and roofs of
vehicles being restored or repaired in the shed.
All the best,
