A day of crossings. The gate post holes at Idridgehay were stoned and tarmaced so that the surface is flush with the road. During the process further tidying up work was undertaken and back at base various finishing pieces were worked on including the gate bolts for fitting next Tuesday.
At Gorsey Bank the VCT turned their attention to applying the last of the white undercoat to the gates in somewhat difficult conditions and the project is approaching completion with just the south side wicket gate to be fitted.
Opportunity was taken for further driver training on Claire and after travelling to and from Idridgehay a couple of times the Idridgehay toilet "building" was discharged at the Maintenance Facility for possible conversion into an oil store. A case of a recycling machine being recycled?
To complete the round up a further section of narrow gauge track was assembled and Nottingham Castle had its dungeon added - the mind boggles.
The Booking Hall welcomed a few visitors and dealt with the first phone calls as a result of yesterday's mail out - a good sign.
